Over 14.2 million people visited North Carolina state parks in 2011 and again in 2o12 and generated $17 billion in direct spending according to a 2011 report by the NC Department of Commerce. Is he thinking of the economy? North Carolina is well known across the nation for the great parks, natural beauty and bucolic lifestyle. It is well researched and proven that job seekers and owners of business start-ups choose areas with excellent outdoor amenities. I am eager to see what the Senate does with his proposed bill.
